Just Another Car on the Road: Space Available.

As I was driving along the interstate today I noticed that there were several people spaced all around with no consistent pattern. Yet again a slow driver was in the left lane, they should be imprisoned for 50 years – I digress, But not only was the slow driver in the fast lane there was 4 car spaces ahead of them. In the next lane there was a driver with 3 – 4 car spaces between them and the next car. The same in the lane beside them. The drivers were staggard and erratic.

My initial frustration was locked in the notion that each lane / passageway is designed for a certain pattern. I wanted all the drivers to follow the correct pattern process, as defined by me. I was in need of getting to my destination quickly. It was legit, I was on a timeline that was being challenged by these non-compliant drivers. So I had to do what I had to do. I had to drive, my speed, in the spaces available.

Isn’t that just like life. We have set in our minds the correct or desired way for things to operate, then life happens. We find ourselves in a system of travel that has staggard lifers that interrupt our perceived path. But if we open our eyes, we can see that there are spaces available for us to travel in. Put your signals on, inform the other drivers that you’re claiming the available space and get to getting on. We can reach our destination by traveling in the spaces available.

Well I have made it here, with time to spare – gotta go.

This is Ralph and I am Just Another Car on the Road.
